Say What???s Real

Posted on March 2, 2017 at 3:40 AM Comments comments (0)
This was supposed to be a story about DeMarcus Cousins??? frustrations in Sacramento. About how the media???s portrayal of Cousins has been unfair, about how Boogie???s poor reputation was forever a reflection of the Kings??? failings as a franchise, and not an accurate depiction of the man. About how anonymous quotes slandering DMC aren???t that hard to trace back to old front office dudes out of touch with what???s happening on the court, lobbing criticisms while sipping Diet Cokes in the owner???s suite. About how fans are fed a steady dose of bullshit about Cousins??? attitude, without the full context of what???s been going on around him. The plan: Go to All-Star Weekend and let a jury of Cousins??? peers be the judge. After all, when it really comes down to it, whose opinion would you want? The men in suits who make bad draft picks and stupid trades? The cranky overworked beat reporters who cover them? Or the best players in the NBA? You know, the guys who have to deal with Boogie???s terrifying blend of overpowering physical skills and supposedly unpredictable behavior on the hardwood, face-to-face. Of course, that the weekend would end with Cousins staying in town was a twist. (We???ll get to that in a minute.) Not every All-Star has a tight relationship with DeMarcus Cousins, you might be thinking. And you???d be right. Utah???s Gordon Hayward really hadn???t spent any time with Cousins until All-Star, beyond facing the Kings over the years. ???I think we realize that in the heat of the moment, things happen that maybe you wouldn???t want to have happen if it wasn???t competitive like that,??? Hayward said of Cousins during his media session in NOLA. ???For us, as players, everybody???s been in those situations and he???s definitely an emotional, competitive guy.??? He???s just saying that, you???re thinking, so Boogie doesn???t strangle him next timeout. Fair enough. How about some more All-Star opinions? ???He???s a beast on the court,??? said Atlanta???s Paul Millsap. ???Definitely a beast. His competitiveness can be taken out of context, so I think that???s really what it is. He???s so competitive, he wants to win so bad, sometimes you can take it the wrong way.??? Lil Uzi Vert Gets Chased By Fans & Jumps A High Fence

Happy birthday to Lil Uzi Vert, as he turns 22 years old on July 31, 2016. What better way to celebrate than to perform in front of screaming fans at the HARD Summer Music Festival?

While we are satisfied by watching his performance alone, this is the cherry on top. Skip to [6:02] to watch Uzi get chased by fans, proceeding to the Philly rapper jumping over a gate, a gate probably twice is height.

“We talked about Joe Budden,” he says. “He was laughing.”

The two discussed the DMs Drake sent to Budden that featured a crying face and offered prayers. Budden has addressed the interaction, saying “everything about Drake’s behavior is lame.”

But then, Ebro drops the bomb that Eminem is supposedly preparing a diss track of his own toward the OVO boss.

Rich City League Is Taking It To The Blacktop

Posted on March 24, 2015 at 2:25 AM Comments comments (0)

Remember the good days when "Hoop It Up" had streetball on lock in RVA, well RCL is bringing that feeling back. Rich City League will be hosting their first annual outdoor Spring/Summer league at pine camp every saturday from April 25th throughout August 30th many of RCL star players like Quintin "Sir DunkOn'EM" Jones have signed on to bring some high-flying action.

This league in no way will be ran for profit, we're simply bringing the best basketball action for children to checkout weekly, the summer time in RVA could be one of the most deadliest times in the city, our goal is to not only give the children in RVA something to do during their summer, but to also give our adults something to do other than being in the streets.

As always with all RCL games there will be music, there will also be candy, food and drinks for everyone.

Each game will be filmed and posted, we will also be recording for our DVD which will be released in the Fall of 2015.

There will be player segments recorded, as well as our web series.

We're proving once again we're the best basketball organization in RVA!!!

Rich City League Game Flow & Lead Flow

Posted on March 9, 2014 at 8:25 PM Comments comments (0)

Pinpoint swings in momentum during the game with our new Game Flow and Lead Flow charts.

The Game Flow shows you how the game has progressed, and the rate at which each team is scoring points. Did you have trouble scoring in the 3rd quarter? Maybe it’s time to make some adjustments.

The Lead Flow shows you how each team is scoring relative to the other team. While the game flow can show you when you’re scoring points, the Lead Flow is better for showing when the changes in momentum are happening throughout the game.

Both charts can be found on the GameStream page in our scorekeeping app.
