The VBA Spartans are built on discipline, grit, and an unbreakable team spirit. Just like the warriors of history, we step onto the court ready for every battle — playing with focus, unity, and relentless determination.
Our players embody the Spartan mindset: strong defense, smart strategy, and fearless competition. Whether it’s diving for a loose ball, locking down an opponent, or pushing the pace in transition, the Spartans bring intensity to every possession.
Age Divisions

The Rich City League is structured to give every player the right competition, coaching, and community. Our age divisions are built so players grow their skills, play against balanced competition, and enjoy the game in a positive environment. Each division is led by experienced coaches who not only teach basketball but also teamwork, leadership, and discipline.
We currently operate four youth divisions and adult play:
• 10–11U – Where the foundation begins. Players build core skills, confidence, and love for the game.
• 12–13U – Developing fundamentals. Focus on advanced ball handling, teamwork, and competitive play.
• 14–15U – Sharpening talent. Players learn to compete at a higher level with strategic coaching.
• 16U – Preparing for the next stage. Athletes fine-tune their skills with an eye toward high school and beyond.
• Adult League – Community competition. High-level games where Richmond’s best come together.
